These are cotton seed red and black ones... Used to see in cotton pods in my Dad's Ancestral home at Kerala.. cotton pod black and red beetle...

I used to see lots of these around Kottivakkam.

These look like a species of Firebug but the pattern is not the same as Pyrrhocoris apterus.
