Field Notes

Description:

The Nandina, also known as heavenly bamboo, is an evergreen like bush, with small, red berries. The leaves are thin, and usually come together in three. Nandinas are potentially fatal towards humans if ingested, but birds can eat them.

Habitat:

Native to China and Japan, but also found in the United States.

Notes:

I took the snowflake photo without knowing that you could see the snowflake in it. I put it up on the computer, and was suprised to see how detailed it was.

MUCH BETTER! Two more suggestions: Re-order the photos so that No. 3 is No. 2 (IMO, the photo of green leaves should be the last photo in the set); use the "Notes" section to briefly tell how you captured your extraordinary snowflake photo, including a link to the site where it was published. Keep up the good work, buddy! I'm looking forward to seeing more of your spottings.
Welcome to Project Noah, Taylor! It is important to fill in all of the text fields for each spotting. For example, here's my post for Nandina: http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/7640589 I suggest you add your "snow on Nandina berries" photo and make it the first photo in the set. While plants and animals are the focus of PN, it's OK to upload two-for photos, for example, your snowflake photo that also shows Nandina berries.
