Description:

Two-striped grasshopper. The stripes on the two-striped grasshopper start on the head, behind the eyes and end in a V point at the bottom of abdomen. A fairly large species which gets noticed more than most grasshoppers. Found throughout most of the United States June to October. Considered a major agricultural pest.

Habitat:

Spotted on a boardwalk path that lead out into the forest at Canaan National Wildlife Refuge in Davis, West Virginia
