Field Notes

Description:

A beautiful green tree frog. lime green in color with white stripe running down sides, and a few tiny yellow spots on its back

Habitat:

The frogs are found in the central and southeastern United States, with a geographic range from the Eastern Shore of Virginia to southeast Florida, with populations as far west as central Texas. and as far north as Maryland and Delaware

Notes:

The green tree frog is the State Amphibian for both Georgia and Louisianan.

Welcome Mary.. Its really a learning about Flora and Fauna..
Thank you AshishNimkar - it was about 1 inch long. Though I have seen some both smaller and larger than this one.
Its very lovely... and really a small wonder... Comapared to size of small Commelinaceae flowers where this Frog is seated it must very small.
