Description:
A member of the order Orthoptera (grasshoppers, et. al.), this "jumping stick" insect resembles a cartoon character. Living up to its scientific name, the head is enlarged and resembles a child desperately in need of braces.
Habitat:
Found on vegetation in the Amazon rain forest, Bulbosa is a herbivorous, grasshopper-like insect. Usually found on lower branches of shrubs and trees.
