Description:

Photo take at -20 ft in a sand bed near a coral reef.
This is one of the larges Hermit Crabs in the Caribbean, live all its life inside of a conch shell as protection, as the crab grows changes its shell to a largest one.

Habitat:

The range of the giant hermit crab extends from North Carolina to southern Florida on the east coast of the United States, throughout the Gulf of Mexico and Caribbean south to Brazil.
