The ants found on mango trees are mostly Weaver ants. Ants have a poison gland in their abdomen that contracts and releases the acid from their sting ,Some birds put ants in their feathers because the ants squirt formic acid which gets rid of the parasites. Thanks for your cmnt Seema !!
This ant has formic acid in its body... Once I bit one by mistake and it tasted sour:) Lots of nests found on mango trees
