Field Notes

Description:

I think it is a katydid but I'm terrible with id'ing insects. She or He was however really into eating orange bits and stuck around for days.

Habitat:

Southern/Atlantic US, mixed woodland area (grassy, wetlands, and heavy woods).

Species ID Suggestions

Comments (1)

It is indeed a katydid, but this isn't the best angle to determine much more than that, at least with my level of expertise (not much). The best you might be able to do for a scientific name is the family name: Tettigoniidae.
