poor grassland, woodland edges, calcareous semi-arid soils

Notes:

20 individuals on the edge of a small eucalypt plantation; Synonym: Aceras antropophorum; Hybrids are common Orchis militaris

Thanks Craig! I had that doubt about the genus... And yes.. this is a common species in Portugal. 8
Lovely photos of a nice group. Is it a common species in Portugal? By the way, DNA sequencing resulted in Aceras being moved into Orchis, so this is now Orchis anthropophora.
