Description:
A tiny Rove Beetle that is unusual in being almost perfectly cylindrical. It is only 4 mm long. The elytra are a deep dark red and the legs are also unusual with flattened toothed femora on the first pair of legs. Family Staphylinidae.
Habitat:
This one fell from the roof through the sky-light. Semi-rural area, San Cristobal de Las Casas, Chiapas, Mexico 2,200 meters.
