Field Notes

Description:

Fat furry moth 40mm long. Beautifully soft looking and in excellent eucalyptus bark camouflage colours - grey with fine brown flecks. Simple underlying venation?

Habitat:

This one on window glass - within open dry sclerophyll eucalyptus forest.

Notes:

On a window I could easily catch both sides
It's got a very flat face for a moth.

Think I got it Martin. Notodontidae would you believe.
I don't think my Endoxyla suggestion works so well... we'll have to keep looking.
