Description:

This is a mature flower, I think, that has lost its petals. In spite of its name it is not in the Rosaceae family. It is an evergreen perennial flowering plant in the buttercup family, Ranunculaceae. It is poisonous.

Habitat:

Plitvice Lakes (Plitvicka-Jezera National park), Croatia.
