Description:

dark purple / black brain like structured cap , with large mangled gills , long slender pinkish stipe approx 2cm in thickness.

Habitat:

rainforest , growing from soil

Thanks so much Leuba , this is the first year i have seen them , never really went exploring for fungi in spring , it's amazing the different finds and variety..i sure hope you find one too :)
