Field Notes

Habitat:

Near its host plant the Air Potato. Native to Asia, it was introduced in Florida in 2012 to control the Air Potato Plant.

Notes:

In my spotting of the Air Potato plant here: http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/207516070
I mentioned I saw no sign of the beetle that had been introduced to the park for control of the plant or damage at the park. I had noticed how Air Potato had spread here and looked as if it was covering everything. Well, today I was at the park and had several spottings of the beetles in different areas of the trails. But even more noticeable was the damage to the Air Potato leaves. I don't think I saw a single vine without damage. I also didn't notice damage like that to any other plant in the park which is a good thing. You can see in the last picture what the plants looked like through out the park.
