Description:

Tree roosting insectivore. Known for it's "frosted tips."

Habitat:

Will roost under bark and within cavities of trees.

Notes:

This species of bat, along with hoary bats and eastern red bats, make up the majority of bat fatalities found at North American wind farms. http://www.batcon.org/index.php/what-we-do/bats-and-wind-energy.html

This bat was caught during a bat survey using mist-nets placed over a stream.
