Field Notes

Description:

This 12" cactus was surrounded by 1" satellite cactus in the ground.
The larger plant stood past 4' and just as wide.

The first two photographs are the newer found. The second is what I believe to be a silver cholla found on a walk near Joshua Tree Park.

Habitat:

Southern California

Notes:

Found Desert USA on facebook. This is a wonderful place to identify many wildflowers, cactus, and animals; as well as information.
