Description:

Ring-billed gull was trying to find food at the shoreline, near an inlet of the Long Island Sound in New York.

Habitat:

Marshlands

Notes:

The bird kept trying to open up some mollusks (probably the blue mussels or the clams that were scattered by the water) by flying up and dropping them.
