Try this...I think if I type too much it cuts some off!! ;-) And Central America is part of North America! (It's also part of Latin America which is South Am & Central Am...confusing!)

What a striking hawk, Karen!! Great shot! I know you've got some wonderful raptor photos (some that I drool over!), and Project Noah has recently increased the boundaries of the mission "Raptors of Colorado" to include all of North America, and is now called (drumroll please!) "Raptors of North America". I would love it if you would consider adding this and any other raptor spottings (birds of prey) to the following: http://www.projectnoah.org/missions/8...
Thank you!
Wonderful pic. I don't know a lot about the raptors in that area, but it has similar markings to the female snails kites I've seen in FL. Snail Kites have ruby red eyes, a long hooked beak w/a yellow cere, females are mottled brown, and the tail has a white teminal band. Hope you find out what it is.
Oh, we need water too... badly. But we do not need the hurricane force winds, and we didn't need the bit of snow, or the dry freezing weather we had for over a month, broken by two days and 4 inches of rain ... crazy weather for us
