Homes, fields, gardens, shrubs

Notes:

Paper wasps are perhaps the most common wasps of this size here in south FL with their paper nests hanging from the roofs of most houses. I think this one is species dorsalis, but not 100% sure as we also have bahamensis, and bellicosus in this area which are all very similar.
