Description:

It is a bird in the chachalaca, guan and curassow family Cracidae. This bird is endangered due to a severe loss of suitable habitat, and is also hunted for food. The current population estimate is less than one thousand individuals.

Habitat:

Inhabits on the west slopes of the West and Central Andes (Risaralda, Quindío, Valle del Cauca and Cauca), Colombia.

Notes:

Seen at Otún-Quimbaya Flora and Fauna Sanctuary.
