I'm in Denver and it's a Red-Tail - yes - dark morph or rufous...we don't have the Red Shouldered here, and none of the other buteo's in the area look like this. Beautiful picture! Beautiful bird!
Don't know, Karen. I'm pretty sure it's a Red Tail. Maybe Dark Morph pattern? I'll add another picture showing partially extended wing.
