Description:
Also commonly called the Black iguana. Most have black mottling on their back & their underbody is usually off-white. The tail is ringed with specialized spiny scales. Adults are herbivores and are considered a pest because they can cause extensive crop damage.
Habitat:
Native to: Mexico & Central America. Ruins, stone walls, rocky open slopes and branches of large trees along the open borders of the forests.
