Description:

Attractive large duck with tan neck and white collar.

Habitat:

Spotted at a wildlife park on Philip island
Australian waterbird but not necessarily requiring water.

Notes:

The shelduck differs from other ducks in being brightly colored. They are large, rely less on water and are more closely related to geese.
