Field Notes

Description:

This moth measures about a half inch long by 1/16" wide. It has irridescent stips on the wings which reflect light well and create a prismatic effect. The antennae are twice the length of the moth.

Habitat:

Tropical dry forest of nw Costa Rica 7 weeks into the 6 month dry season.
