Description:
Nerium oleander is an evergreen shrub or small tree in the Dogbane family Apocynaceae. Native to: Northern Africa, eastern Mediterranean basin and southeast Asia, but has been so widely cultivated that its true origin is not certain. Zones: 8 - 11. Height: 6 - 20 feet. Width: 8 -10 feet. Susceptible to the Oleander aphid (Aphis nerii).
Habitat:
Light: Full Sun. Water: Average - drought tolerant. Natural habitat: Dry stream beds. Host plant to the Oleander Moth - Polka-Dot Moth (Syntomeida epilais)
