Description:

About 1/2" long....a weird bug. I have no idea what this is. This shot was taken at night. This bug was attracted to a street light.

Habitat:

Tropical dry forest in NW Costa Rica 7 weeks into the 6 month dry season.

Also called: Acanthoderes circumflexa.
This is a longicorn beetle. Family = cerambycidae. Their larvae (grubs) are woodborers. There's tens of thousands of different long horned beetles. It's usually tough to identify them accurately. http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/8302477
