Description:

Also known as Colonial Ascidian, Colonial Ascidian Tunicate, Compound Ascidian, Golden Star Ascidian, Golden Star Tunicate, Calloused Tunicate.

They vary in color and shape, and feed on plankton and detritus.

Habitat:

Found spreading in an invasive manner over slow-moving submerged objects, even plants, animals and boats. They are found worldwide, at depths of 1 to 30m.
