After feeding on a small prey he took off and flew closely over me.

Thank you! It was a pity that I was not prepared for hem comming right towards me. At the last few picteres he was so close that you could only get the head in the frame but they are of no use, out of focus.
He had captured a little rodent. I have more pictures of it eating his prey but they are in the distance and if I would crop them they would become blurry. Mayby I'll post them as yet.
Looks like we have almost the same photos of the same bird :) Was yours also eating earthworms, or was it something bigger?
Thank you! It was worth to sit in his hunting grounds for more than a hour. This picture was taken when he finished his meal.
