Description:

Also known as daylight moth. Amata trigonophora is a tiger moth from the family Arctiidae. It has black wings with large orange yellow spots on the wings. The forewings have five large elongated oval yellow spots with the spots nearest the wing tips crossed by a narrow black line. The head is black, the thorax is mainly black with a yellow band at front, and the abdomen is banded black and yellow.
