Description:

Orchard Orbweavers are long-jawed orbweavers. A very common spider, but very tiny & is likely to be overlooked. Like all orbweavers they build webs that resemble a circular grid, however long-jawed orbweavers' webs do not have as many spokes as those of true orbweavers. These spiders use their webs to trap flies, moths & other insects and can be
considered beneficial. They are also a common food source for birds & other small animals.

Habitat:

Southern Canada to Panama, eastern - central U.S. - Woodlands, low shrubs & trees close to the ground.
