Field Notes

Description:

"Females are pale brown overall with warm reddish tinges in the wings, tail, and crest. They have the same black face and red-orange bill." Cornell Ornithology site.

Habitat:

She's got a seed on the branch in pic 2.

Notes:

Saw this one after the 3 males flew off. I sometimes see her with a male, but they usually perch in different trees close by to each other, but perhaps far enough apart to prevent double-predation?
