Species ID Suggestions

I would agree with Calephelis, but it is not C. virginiensis, which is notfound in Costa Rica. Usually I would not dare to ID a Calephelis from only a picture. There are tons around, all almost identical and with a great variability within the genus and species. Personally I would go with Calephelis sp. http://butterfliesofamerica.com/imagehtmls/Riodinidae/Calephelis_schausi_ALLOTYPE_F_CR_HDA_EL_RODEO_Limon_Farm_700m_14-VI-1946-AMNH-2_i.htm http://butterfliesofamerica.com/imagehtmls/Riodinidae/Calephelis_inca_HOLOTYPE_M_COLOMBIA_DEPT._MAGDALENA_Cacagualito_1500_May-CMNH-2_i.htm http://butterfliesofamerica.com/imagehtmls/Riodinidae/Calephelis_browni_M_COSTA_RICA_CARTAGO_Turrialba_1-15-VII-65_5_i.htm http://butterfliesofamerica.com/t/Calephelis_a.htm Virginiensis to compare: http://butterfliesofamerica.com/calephelis_virginiensis_specimens.htm
