Description:

Forster's Tern spotted amongst a group of gulls and other terns. This tern is on the smaller side of the terns that I have seen. Compare to the royal tern in the foreground of the 4th image.

coastal beach

Forster's Tern is protected in the USA under the Migratory Bird Treaty Act.
