I am working on it. I have only had the macro lens for two weeks now. Most of my spotting have been at night recently so I am getting adjusted. You are very kind asergio!
I think this is definitely in the cicada family. you will just have to check through cicada files of brazil in your area. nice sighting. I wish my foto was this good!
Thank you, Martin, now I have something to start my research.
This is a beautiful spotting of a (Family Lophopidae) planthopper. It is a hemipteran bug and a small cousin of the cicada. These groups get very complex. My closest link is this old faithful site. The Australian match is Magia subocellata but yours is unlikely to even be the same genus. http://www.brisbaneinsects.com/brisbane_planthoppers/Lophopidae.htm
It's very beautiful and so are your photos
