Description:

Most flycatchers are plain color with not much markings. This one has bold streaking on the body and face. Reddish rump and yellow belly to undertail. The most unusual sound is that it makes a sound just like when a dog bites into a squeaky toy.

Habitat:

Found in the pine/oak mountains of the southwest
