Field Notes

Description:

A small frog with rough skin and large, rounded toe pads. It is gray, tan, or olive with green or gray blotches. Can change color in response to environment. Often yellow on groin and inner thighs. Hind feet are webbed.

Habitat:

Found from Arizona upland desert scrub through montane conifer forest. Usually observed on rocks, boulder, or cliffs near creeks, springs, or rivers.

Notes:

This is obviously a male since it is calling. :-)
