Description:

Green, lobed leaves with purple flowers that have five petals and sepals. Fruit has a small, glandular body with a long green style reaching vertical. This is not native and is considered a weed.

Ha, I hadn't heard that name before but it makes sense. This plant is definitely invasive and is driving me crazy in the backyard right now :(
This is also called clock plant because when the spikes dry out and turn brown, they split into many thin tails of seeds, and the tails twirl around (like the hands of a clock) anything that touches them, like animal hair. It's a very invasive weed indeed here in So. Cal.
