ha ha,,, thank you martini. we should've called it six spotted tree beetle. :)
I was making my comment from the beetles name, of course, but its fascinating to learn the critters behavior from the spotter, this adds a lot of value to the photo. I've seen ground beetles in branches before but they were never active. Thanks ctsetan.
:) Martini,, it was equally at home on trees... actually it was very possessive about it's tree branch, came to bite when i touched the branch. ;)
Nice - I think it would be more happy on the ground.
