Field Notes

Description:

The skin is usually orange but can vary from orange-red to dark yellow. The back and sides are covered with numerous, irregularly spaced black spots or dots that vary in size. It has a long tail, plain belly that is whitish to yellow, and 13 or 14 costal grooves. There is a nasolabial groove and the cirri of an adult male are larger than those of an adult female.

Habitat:

Moist woodlands, cliff fissures, and caves in the limestone regions.
