Description:

The only large cats that live in groups, lions are the second largest cats after the tigers. The females do most of the hunting; they also scavenge for a good part of their diet. Females help one another care for their young.

Habitat:

Sub-Saharan Africa

Notes:

These two young lions were quite far from the road, resting and playing in the shade.
