Description:
Ferrets have long, slender bodies with short legs that help them maneuver faster. There fur is a black, gray, white with a black band going across its eyes like a raccoon. They also has long tales and long claws.
Habitat:
Domestic ferrets need cages with lots of space and need to be let out of there cages for a couple of hours each day. Wild ferrets live on prairies with long grass and live in burrows dug by prairie dogs.
Notes:
Ferrets are a common house pet that can be found in all countries. In Europe, some people use ferrets for hunting which is called, ferreting. They are alert, agile, nocturnal animals with excellent senses of hearing, sight, smell, and olfactory communication.
