Field Notes

Description:

Mother seen guarding her egg sac.
Probably the term "Mothers love" is not just associated with humans, but even small creatures like this spider understand it too. These spiders are known not to leave their egg sacs/purses even in worst case scenarios like coming face to face with a predator. Even a small shake on the sac would send the mother to check what the source of the movement was. The sac was hanging on a dry leaf with 3-4 silk threads almost 3.5-4 feet above the ground.

Habitat:

Seen at a small forest near a farm.
