Field Notes

Description:

Sorry for the horrible pics. I'm ashamed to say that I'm blaming the dog! She took off after a squirrel while I was attached to her leash, trying to focus :P This bird has a white face and breast. The wings are gray and the top of head and neck are black. The beak is slender.

Habitat:

Oak tree at the Ranch House at Daley Ranch

Notes:

This is my first Nuthatch sighting!
