Field Notes

Description:

A cream coloured moth with a 20 mm span. Wings were held outstretched with the upper margin of the fore wings being perpendicular to the body. Wings appeared soft with light brown wavy patterns and fringed lower margins. Each wing had a dark spot close to its upper margin.
The underside of the body (pic #2) showed some yellow colouring on the wing margins and legs.
Antennae were stretched out and showed no significant feature.

Habitat:

outer suburbia, eucalypt forests

Notes:

This a Geometrid moth from subfamily Sterrhinae.
Found this on the inner window pane in our shed.
