Field Notes

Description:

A clump of reddish bud-like growth on a small Acaia sp. There were green ants present, though I'm unsure if this has anything to do with this structure, or if they just happen to be building nearby. It did not match the buds of the Acacia it was growing on & seen to occur mid-stem.

Habitat:

Sclerophyll forest. Coastal.
