Description:
A pair of wild kestrels in their natural habitat near Valencia. A=a small, chestnut brown bird of prey with the he average adult male weighing around 155 grams (5.5 ounces) and the female weighing around 184 grams (6.5 ounces). Female kestrels are slightly larger than male kestrels.
Habitat:
Kestrels are found in a wide variety of habitats, including grasslands, meadows, deserts, and other open to semi-open regions. They can also be found in both urban and suburban areas.
Notes:
We observed both the male and female for several hours as they flew back and forth from their nesting site
