Third photo you can see the area behind the wings and no yellow. Thank you!
It's difficult to tell but it appears there is yellow in front of the wings and the single stripe on the abdomen. If so, then it's B. californicus. If you observed the a yellow stripe immediately behind the wing as well, then it's B. melanopygus.
