Description:

The eye pattern, the stripes , the setae on the legs - this is Oxyopes javanus Thorell, 1887. Very common in our area, but always nice to see one in tip-top condition.

Habitat:

This Lynx Spider was spotted in our backyard on the leaf of a Rose of China (Hibiscus rosa-sinensis) known in the Philippines as Gomamela. Plant identification - http://www.stuartxchange.org/Gumamela.html
