Field Notes

Description:

There were about ten to twelve mallards dabbling around on a cold and windy winter day. I passed them by and decided to take a few pictures. Lucky for me because I spotted something even cooler a few seconds later!

Habitat:

An area where a smaller stream (Miller Run) feeds into a larger stream (Bull Run) on Bucknell's campus. The stream has a thin border of trees on each side.

Notes:

While I was taking photos of the ducks, a muskrat popped up from the water. That sure surprised me!
