Field Notes

Description:

Medium-sized mammal with a black fur mark around the eyes and alternate light/dark rings on the tail.

Habitat:

Prefers sparsely wooded areas, however this one was walking across the yard to get to a wooded area.

Notes:

I don't know who was more scared when we nearly ran into each other, me, or the raccoon!! We exchanged glances and both turned tail and ran!!
